Aliwan Festival, named as "Mother of all Fiestas", brings together hundreds of of the country’s finest craftsmen, street performers, and amateur models hand-picked to compete in the dance parade competition and float competition. The center of the attraction in this fiesta is the "Reyna ng Aliwan" beauty pageant. Cash prizes awaits the winners in the competition. The contingents are after the honor that they will get for being named as the best of the best.

Aliwan Festival brings and represents the pride of every contingents hometown that they are eager to showcase the richness of their culture and heritage to the world.

This year, Aliwan Festival will showcase 24 festivals from as far as Angadanan, Isabela in the north to Lamitan Basilan in the South of the Philippines from May 1-3. I'm excited to take pictures again this time around! :)
